Founded in 2019 by Oswald Newbold II, Libra-Life Mentoring Services Inc. began as a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth and future generations through guidance and support. Oswald’s vision was that every young person deserves access to positive role models and a robust support system to navigate life’s challenges.

From the onset, Libra-Life pioneered mentorship programs that transformed countless lives. Our initiatives empowered young people in developing essential life skills, personal and career growth, financial literacy, leadership and policy advocacy, capacity building, and conflict mediation.

As our impact grew, so did our vision. Libra-Life Mentoring Services evolved into Libra-Life International; a social enterprise committed to advancing our work on a global scale. The goal evolved from only mentoring to pushing for global change. By addressing systemic injustices that affect justice-impacted people and marginalized communities, we champion a rights-based, intersectional approach to reform in global development, humanitarian efforts, and criminal justice.

Today, Libra-Life International is dedicated to building bridges and uniting diverse stakeholders to drive collective action in support of Sustainable Development Goal 16, which promotes peace, justice, and strong institutions. Grounded in grassroots engagement, we focus on empowering the most vulnerable populations, ensuring that their voices are at the heart of our solutions for lasting change.
